Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Laws, University of Papua New Guinea.
  • Admitted to practice as a lawyer in Papua New Guinea in 2021.
Professional Background

Naomi graduated from the University of Papua New Guinea in 2020. She completed her post-graduate studies at the Legal Training Institute (LTI) at which time she was  admitted to practice as a lawyer in the National and Supreme Court of Papua New Guinea.

Naomi is in her sixth year of practice and has been working with Leahy Lewin Lowing Sullivan Lawyers since September of 2021.

Areas of Experience

Naomi currently practices as a commercial lawyer, however she also has experience in litigation during the first 2 years of her employment.

Naomi has appeared in the National Court for matters in the following areas:

  • Dissolution of marriage involving custody of children and property settlement.
  • Child maintenance.
  • Eviction and property dispute.

Naomi’s practice in the commercial space include practice in the following areas:

  • Drafting of Employment Contracts in PNG.
  • Drafting of Contracts of Sale of Land.
  • Drafting of Agreement for Sale of Shares & Sub-lease.
  • Conveyancing (Sale and/Purchase of Property).
  • Preparing Application for replacement titles.
  • Conducting Legal Due Diligence for clients.
  • Preparing Application for mining/special mining leases under the Mining Act 1992.
  • Advising on State Guarantees.
  • Advising on export of minerals from PNG.
  • Incorporation of overseas companies/subsidiary companies in PNG in line with the Companies Act 1997 and IPA requirements.
  • Assist Managing Partner in advising on enforceability of overseas mortgages/legal documents in PNG.
  • Assist Managing Partner in advising entering into contracts and agreements for parties within different jurisdictions.
  • Re-registering and restoring companies/business with the IPA.
  • Conducting Searches and Registration of interest on the PNG Personal Property Securities Registry.
  • Advising overseas clients of business environment in PNG.
  • Registering of Security Notices on the Personal Property Securities Register (PPSR).
