Professional Background

Luke is a Senior Associate at Leahy Lewin Lowing Sullivan Lawyers. He initially worked with the commercial and corporate department and is presently working in the firm’s commercial litigation department.

Areas of Experience

Luke’s practice span across commercial, corporate and litigation matters. Since 2019, he has supported Partners across multiple practice areas and developed experience working with a diverse range of clients, including major corporates, international organisations, and local businesses.

His work covers both contentious and advisory matters, with experience in commercial disputes, regulatory issues, governance and compliance, employment and industrial relations, property and land matters and general commercial advisory. Luke also contributes to large‑scale matters involving complex transactions, inquiries and multi‑party proceedings.

  • Assisted Partners and overseas counsel in the Commission of Inquiry into the Union Bank of Switzerland loan and related transactions.
  • Acting for PNG Forest Products Limited across a broad range of matters, including vicarious liability claims, subrogation proceedings, landownership disputes and trespass issues.
  • Acting for Kwik Mit Limited in proceedings concerning tariff classification of imported products.
  • Representing China Jiangsu International and associated entities in disputes regarding the development of the Lae Tidal Basin project.
  • Assisting and acting for Lady Ni Yumei Cragnolini in divorce proceedings and property settlement matters.
  • Acting for SGS (PNG) Limited in claims involving breach of agreement and debt recovery.
  • Supporting Partners in advising Bechtel Global Corporation on PNG labour and employment law compliance.
  • Acting for Turama Industries Limited in proceedings concerning timber permit entitlements and the distribution of benefit‑sharing funds to landowners.
  • Advising and acting for TNA Holdings Limited in enforcement proceedings, salaries and wages tax issues and matters concerning exemptions from income tax.
  • Advising and acting for SpaceX relating to the proposed cancellation of its orbital licence, including regulatory compliance issues.
